On June 4th, at 09:04 GMT, our founder Dina received a Google Alert notification: a top media art outlet, The Art Newspaper, mentioned Sensity
The moment came with dozens of emotions: from excitement, gratitude, joy, and pride to quiet confidence, responsibility, surprise, and validation.
Even more exciting was the fact that the article was also published in the newspaper’s print edition.
The author, Anny Shaw, explores the growing return of artist management agencies as an alternative to the traditional gallery model. Now, more and more artists are looking not only for galleries that sell their work, but for long-term partners who can help shape their careers through strategic planning, institutional relationships, media visibility, brand collaborations, and international opportunities. Shaw argues that this is not simply another industry trend, but what she calls a "zeitgeist moment" — a reflection of deeper structural changes taking place across the global art market.
Sensity is one of the agencies highlighted in the article, featured alongside companies from New York, Los Angeles, and Berlin. We were included as an example of a new generation of artist management companies that focus on career development rather than solely on artwork sales. Furthermore, the article specifically notes Sensity's work supporting women artists from emerging art markets, illustrating how artist representation is creating new pathways for international visibility and career growth.
On May 27th, we launched our annual open call for emerging women artists, “Radical Joy.”
Radical Joy foregrounds the resilience of the human spirit, shifting attention from suffering to the transformative and often underestimated power of joy.
This year, the jury brings together an inspiring group of internationally recognised curators, cultural leaders, and art professionals shaping today’s contemporary art landscape.
The open call is free to enter. Applications are open from May 27th to June 17th, 2026, with submissions closing at 23:59 UK time. Apply via this link.
Industry News Reading: Women Are Quietly Reshaping the Future of Collecting
This one is worth sitting with.
The article highlights one of the most significant shifts in today's art market: the growing influence of women collectors. According to the latest Art Basel and UBS Survey of Global Collecting, in 2024, HNW women spent 46% more than their male peers.
Nearly half the works in women's collections are by female artists (49%), compared to 40% in men's. And contrary to the overused stereotype, women collectors are actually more willing to take risks — they are more likely to buy works by unknown artists and purchase directly from artists. By doing this, they are playing a crucial role in shaping cultural trends by actively supporting female emerging talent.
As a result, women are increasingly influencing which artists gain visibility, institutional recognition, and long-term market success, making them one of the most powerful forces shaping the future of the global art ecosystem. Read more
